Winter is often a season that polarizes people, some love it and some hate it. However there’s a unique thing that makes winter special. The cold air that freezes your cheeks, the cozy feeling bundled up in layers of blankets, and just the amazing transformation from summer to winter and just a few reasons why winter is considered one of the best seasons of all.

One of the best things about winter is the beauty it brings. Snow covered trees, the icicles hanging from everything, and the peacefulness that happens after a light snow fall. Winter activity’s like ice skating, skiing, and building snowman add a sense of joy and playfulness to the season, bringing out the inner child in us all.

Winter has a sense of togetherness and warmth throughout the holidays, getting around a warm campfire, drinking hot chocolate, and spending quality time with friends and family. The slower pace of winter lets you take some time off and focus on yourself. It is important to take full advantage of the holidays in winter and use them to the fullest.

why you should play hockey

there are many reasons why you should play hockey. today I’m going to tell you many reasons why and by the end i bet you’ll be wanting to try out hockey.

hockey can be played pretty much anywhere. hockey gets played in a various of locations. of course at the hockey rink on ice, but you can even play outside on the street, the grass, and pretty much anywhere.

hockey is great exercise. as little as 15 min of exercise can give you a mental boost, which can improve your mood during the day. hockey on the other hand is played for about 1-2 hours. which is 1-2 hours of fun and will make you happy for the whole day.

final reason is hockey improves your social skills. at this point you don’t have a choice but to talk to people. hockey is a team game and if you want to be a good team player you will have to communicate with them which will improve your social skills outside of hockey.

The Career Of Skylar Farrington

the young man himself Skylar Farrington has been a quite the amazing hockey career so far. he started when he was 3 years old, he started his hockey career with the Riverton Eagles in the Interlake minor hockey association.

He played with the Eagles for many years, up until U15 then he took his talent to the Interlake Lightning U15 AAA hockey team. unfortunately Covid hit and they were only able to play 5 games before shutdown, he had 10 penalty minutes in those games. the year after that he also made the team as a second year player and he was the Assistant captain of the team. in the 32 game season he rallied up 2 goals and 5 assists for 7 points, he also tallied up 64 penalty minutes which landed him second in the league in that category. he also played 6 games in the playoffs with 2 goals and 2 assists with 10 penalty minutes ending the season with second place in the B side finals.

After a good 2 years in U15 it was time for Skylar to move up to the U18 level. Skylar lasted a long time at the tryouts but ended up being one of the last defenseman cut from the team. he went on to play for the U17 AAA teams. it was a rough season for the team but skylar found himself success. he had 3 goals and 5 assists in 30 games along with 89 penalty minutes leading the league in that column. in the playoffs he had 3 games played with 8 penalty minutes.

the next season he also played for the U17 AAA team again. he was assistant in this season being a veteran player, the team had a better season overall but still fell up short in the playoffs. in 36 games he had 3 goals and 1 assist with 74 penalty minutes.

this current season Skylar is playing for the Arborg Ice Dawgs of the CRJHL. he currently has one game played and an amazing 21 penalty minutes and a one game suspension!
